About Dr. Liz
Dr. Elizabeth Skotowski, known to patients as Dr. Liz, is a board-certified pediatric dentist and a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. She provides dental care for children, teens, and patients with special health care needs at Sheppard Pediatric Dentistry in Anthem, Arizona.
Dr. Liz focuses on creating a positive, comfortable dental experience for every child. Her goal is to help families feel informed, supported, and confident about their child’s oral health, from the first visit through ongoing preventive care and treatment.
She earned her undergraduate degree in Exercise Science from Western Illinois University, graduating Magna Cum Laude. During college, she was also a Division I basketball player and served as co-captain during her senior year. She went on to earn her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry, followed by a two-year pediatric dental residency at the University of Iowa.
Dr. Liz has experience with a full range of behavior guidance and sedation techniques, including nitrous oxide, oral conscious sedation, and treatment under general anesthesia. These options can help children with dental anxiety, sensory sensitivities, complex treatment needs, or special health care considerations receive care in a safer and more comfortable setting.
She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the Arizona Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and the Academy for Sports Dentistry.
Outside of the office, Dr. Liz enjoys hiking, golfing, spending time with her dog Teddy, watching sports, and being with friends and family.
